This painting explores a threshold where a mountain seems to release its weight and drift toward transformation. Suspended between solidity and dissolution, it becomes a whisper—an echo of centuries carried through erosion, memory, and time. Warm, fractured reds suggest a smoldering inner core shaped by pressure and fire, while pale air above thins into mist, allowing the mountain’s spirit to loosen and rise. Cascading blues and greens return fragments of sky to the earth, evoking cycles of growth and decay and the fluidity that overtakes what once felt immovable. Thin white streaks descend like traces of memory, revealing hidden currents beneath stillness and allowing light to search for the mountain’s voice. In darker areas, a quiet, living presence listens to this release. The work becomes an ascension—a passage from material to immaterial, from form to vibration—where transformation replaces collapse, and ancient stories scatter softly into the air.
