Pressure of Becoming belongs to Cycle of Remembering, a series investigating memory not as a faithful archive of the past but as a living process of transformation. Every recollection alters what it seeks to preserve, allowing the past to survive only through continual reconstruction.

The composition develops through successive layers that accumulate, dissolve and reappear like archaeological strata of experience. Gestural marks, translucent veils and softly eroded passages create a surface where traces of earlier moments remain visible beneath the most recent interventions. The painting becomes an excavation rather than a representation.

Within Ovidiu Kloșka’s artistic practice, memory is understood as an active force capable of generating new visual realities. Beauty emerges through improbable configurations in which rhythm, gesture, transparency, colour and material texture gradually establish unexpected coherence. Every layer records both what has been preserved and what has quietly disappeared.

The title evokes the invisible pressure through which remembrance continually reshapes identity. Nothing remains fixed; every fragment carries the possibility of becoming something different. The painting therefore inhabits the delicate interval between erosion and renewal, where absence itself becomes an essential part of what is remembered.

As part of Cycle of Remembering, Pressure of Becoming proposes that memory is less an act of retrieval than an ongoing act of creation.
