Angel Waiting (Composition 237) belongs to The Book of Angels, a series in which angelic presences are understood not as visible beings but as subtle states of consciousness emerging at the threshold between the visible and the invisible. Rather than depicting a celestial figure, the painting evokes an atmosphere in which presence gradually becomes perceptible through light, rhythm and silence.

The composition unfolds through successive layers of luminous whites, warm ochres, deep greys and translucent passages that continuously reveal and conceal one another. A recognizable profile slowly emerges before dissolving back into painterly matter, allowing the image to remain suspended between appearance and disappearance. Every gesture contributes to a state of continuous transformation.

Within Ovidiu Kloșka’s artistic practice, beauty is discovered through improbable configurations that gradually achieve an unexpected internal coherence. Rhythm, colour, transparency, gesture and texture interact intuitively until the painting begins to reveal relationships that could never have been anticipated.
