After the Battle, Only Light Remained belongs to The Book of Angels, a series in which angelic presences are understood not as visible beings but as subtle states of consciousness emerging at the threshold between the seen and the unseen. Rather than narrating an event, the painting inhabits the silent interval that follows transformation, when struggle has already passed and only its essential resonance remains.

The composition unfolds through successive layers of luminous colour, expressive gestures and translucent passages that continuously reveal and conceal one another. Dense material forms gradually dissolve into radiant atmospheres, allowing the image to exist in a perpetual state of becoming. Nothing appears entirely fixed; every element seems suspended between memory and presence.

Within Ovidiu Kloșka’s artistic practice, beauty is discovered through improbable configurations that gradually achieve an unexpected internal coherence.
