Gothic Incandescent Still Life belongs to the Kafkian Eternity with Flowers at 7 PM series, where the traditional still life is transformed into a metaphysical meditation on presence, memory and the quiet persistence of beauty. Flowers are no longer botanical subjects but fragile manifestations of light emerging from darkness, suspended between appearance and disappearance.
The composition unfolds through translucent layers, expressive gestures and richly textured surfaces that suggest the slow accumulation of time. Deep violets, warm amber passages, luminous whites and shadowed forms create an atmosphere in which light seems to originate from within the painting itself. Rather than illuminating objects, it reveals traces of invisible relationships hidden beneath the surface.
Within Ovidiu Kloșka’s artistic practice, beauty is not imposed upon the image but discovered through the emergence of improbable configurations. Rhythm, colour, transparency, gesture and material texture gradually organize themselves into a coherent visual event whose balance appears both unexpected and inevitable.
